Both Zoneguard and Varioguard steel barriers deliver unique absorbing technologies to manage the energy of errant vehicles by a combination of self-weight, catenary action, and the mass of the impacting vehicle on the products foot section. This then limits the barrier deflection.
Zoneguard is the lowest deflecting portable steel highway barrier in the world. Installation is safe and efficient with the integrated speed joints, resulting in up to 300m being installed in just one hour. Using the innovative Asset VRS Drilling Rig provides installation with ZERO Hand Arm Vibration. Zoneguard is fully tested to EN1317-2 and other international standards. Zoneguard is also available with gated options (System 5) and fencing solutions (System 4) to protect the passing public and workers from debris.
Alternative temporary steel barriers include Varioguard, MASS and MASS01. Fully tested to EN 1317, these temporary solutions are designed to protect the passing public from vehicles and debris, on the live road network or across towns and cities. Asset VRS worked alongside Balfour Beatty-Vinci JV to develop a range of Work Safety Gates (WSG). They were designed to significantly minimise the hazard faced by road workers when adjacent to live work access points. Used with the Zoneguard and the Varioguard, The highly visible red and white powder coated sections of the WSG clearly define the access points within the works presenting clear delineation for works vehicle drivers.
